This beloved annual event brings the beauty and diversity of Indian culture to Kansas City through an immersive celebration of dance, music, fashion, and art.

Celebrate the Emotions of Dance – Navarasas

One of the highlights of Passport to India 2025 is an exciting showcase of cultural dance performances inspired by the theme of Navarasas – the nine emotions of artistic expression. Community dance groups are invited to participate, sharing the beauty of Bollywood, Classical, and Folk dance styles.

If your group is interested in performing, please send an email to festivals@nelson-atkins.org by Monday, February 17, 2025 with the following details:

• Group name / Lead / Choreographer name
• Cell phone number
• Email address
• Dance Style (Bollywood, Classical, or Folk)
• Age group (8 years and older)
• Group Size (Min. 2, Max. 12)

Even if your group is not selected for this year’s festival, the planning committee will keep your information on file for future events.
