The Hindu Temple & Cultural Center of Kansas City, in collaboration with the Vaishnav Satsang Samaj of Kansas City, invites you to join the joyous celebration of Hindola on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. Hindola Utsav, or the Hindola Festival, is a cherished Hindu tradition that occurs during the monsoon season, typically between July and August. This festival celebrates the deep love and devotion for Lord Krishna, symbolized by the ritual of gently swinging the Lord on a beautifully decorated swing. Originating in Vrindavan 5,000 years ago, the tradition was born from the Gopis’ devotion, as they would lovingly swing Lord Krishna to express their adoration.
The event will begin with Darshan at 4:30 PM, followed by the Mangala Aarthi at 6:30 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the Puja and experience the divine joy of this ancient tradition. Prasad will be served from 7:00 PM onwards.
Sponsorship opportunities are available for those who wish to contribute to this sacred event. We encourage all sponsors and attendees to wear traditional attire, adding to the cultural and spiritual atmosphere. Don’t miss this beautiful celebration of love and devotion. Mark your calendars and bring your family and friends to the Hindu Temple & Cultural Center of Kansas City for an evening of spiritual fulfillment.
