08/24 – Ganesh Idol Making Workshop for Kids – A Fun & Cultural Learning Experience

The Hindu Temple & Cultural Center of Kansas City is delighted to host a special Ganesh Idol Making Workshop for Kids on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the temple premises, 6330 Lackman Rd, Shawnee, KS.

This free and interactive workshop is designed to introduce children to the significance of Lord Ganesh, the beloved deity known as the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom. Kids will not only learn about Lord Ganesh but also enjoy the hands-on experience of creating their very own Ganesh idol.

All the supplies for the workshop will be provided by the temple, ensuring that children can focus on expressing their creativity while connecting with their cultural roots.

Workshops like this provide a wonderful opportunity for the younger generation to engage in Indian traditions, art, and storytelling in a fun and engaging environment. It’s also a beautiful way for families in the Kansas City Indian community to come together and celebrate culture while making lasting memories.
