India Fest 2024 will take place on Sunday, August 11th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm at the Overland Park Convention Center, 6000 College Boulevard, Overland Park, KS 66212. This year’s theme, “One Community, Many Stories: Celebrating Diversity, Building Unity,” highlights the rich cultural diversity and unity within the Indian community. The festival, collectively hosted by various regional organizations, offers an immersive experience into the vibrant tastes, sounds, and sights of India through live music, dance, food, and entertainment.
At India Fest, attendees can indulge in a wide variety of authentic Indian cuisines, ranging from spicy street food to traditional dishes, prepared by local chefs and restaurants. The marketplace will feature vendors selling unique Indian handicrafts, clothing, jewelry, and art, providing a perfect opportunity for shopping enthusiasts to take home a piece of India.
The event will showcase spectacular live performances, including classical and contemporary Indian dance, music, and theater. Renowned artists and local talent will grace the stage, offering a mesmerizing display of India’s artistic heritage. Cultural exhibits and interactive booths will educate visitors about India’s diverse regions, languages, and traditions, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the country’s cultural mosaic.
India Fest is an all-day event where families and individuals can enjoy activities for all ages. There will be engaging workshops, fun games, and a children’s area with crafts and entertainment specifically designed for younger attendees.
